The last time I saw the cure
Robert Smith looked like Meatloaf. I was shocked by seeing him at Rock Werchter a couple of years ago.
I so admire that guy but I hadn’t expect that he gained that much weight!

It was november 2 years ago. The played at the w2 in Den Bosch. Next to me stood a friend of mine, which I had a crush on. The concert started and I felt I got taken away from that place into their music. The music took over me and I dont know how long the concert took but suddenly I got back on earth and the only thing I was able to do was cry because of the beauty of the music. I felt like hugging that friend but I wasn’t able to do that. After the concert he told me he had experienced the same feeling of hugging me, but he also didn’t do it.
It was a weird evening. It was beautifull and overwhelming it was….fantastic.
They had a comeback I guess two years ago. The first concert they gave was at Vera in Groingen. At that time I was doing my internship there. Dino Jr, stayed for two days and slept as well over there. So I saw the guys walking around with their families and stuff. It was great to see such a legendary band just walking around.
The night before the concert J Mascis came to me and ask for cigarettes. That question ended in a great discussion about cigarettes and America. He’s an intelligent and funny man.
I met Lou Barlow before during a solo gig. I knew he was a quiet friendly man. And during his stay with dino jr he brought his kid with him, so cute. Its special to see not only one of your favorite bands but also their family and children.
It was het great experience!
I cant’s say it’s my favorite memory because it was painfull ;)
It was at the Eurosonic festival in Groningen (Holland) a couple of years ago. The played in a small theatre and during the show they ask to sit down. So I did. The leadsinger walked through the crowd an suddenly he fell upon me… You know he’s quiet heavy.. I had pain in my body for a couple of days, but hey I can say he ‘felled upon me’ ;) (a dutch saying which means he felled in love with me ;))
